The Jamieson’s are a well balanced cohesive family. James & Elize has being happily married for the past 32 years and still going. Two children, a son Hector (married to Corina & their daughters Laila & Allison) , aged 30 and a daughter Zhulni (married to Bennie), aged 27.
Even prior to their marriage they were committed campers. They have had many tents, few caravans and currently are the owners of a CONQUERER COMFORT OFF-ROAD trailer, towed by a double cab Mazda BT50 – 3.2Tdi. Among the adventurous vehicles they’ve had is; Isuzu KB230, Toyota Venture 2.2, Mitsubishi Colt 2.4i, Mazda BT50 2.5Tdi and a Land Rover Defender 110
Elize currently rides a BMW R1200RS motorcycle as a daily means of transport as well as for touring. James has a BMW R1200GS Adventure motorcycle as his daily transport as well as for touring. Their son rides a BMW R1200R motorcycle. The Jamieson’s has an intense passion for motorcycling and has ridden various bikes over the years;

Namibia, Botswana and remote places in South Africa are regular places for them. James & Elize are also proud wearers of the international IRON-BUTT Association’s badge for motorcyclists who have done extensive kilometers on a specific trip with specific km and time limit. They are also recipients of the BMW Pretoria Motorcycle Club “Silver Extreme” Award for visiting the four (4) corners of SA by bike in their own time. Hector has various motorcycle training courses under his belt and is skilled in giving motorcycle rider training.
They are passionate about running, cycling, hiking and camping. They’ve competed and finished the Cartoria Half Marathon, Cape Argus Cycle Tour, 94.7 Cycle Tour and 94.2 Cycle Tour to name a few. They continue to run and cycle both on and off the road. Staying active and healthy is paramount.
Whether they travel by bike or car, they do so to enjoy the journey leading to a place. They make the journey part of a memorable experience. When they camp with their Conqerourer trailer fully stocked they are totally self-sufficient for at least 5 days.
To go totally adventure crazy they also often camp in their CampMaster, TentCo and 360 tents. The Jamieson’s are all ordinary salary earners who all live in the capital of South Africa. They are members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) and BMW Motorcycle Club Pretoria which gives them the opportunity to share their passions with like minded people.
